 Does not read vertical Japanese text - NO FM Radio Mar 20, 2012

This product has a number of issues. First, the scanner is only able to read horizontal Japanese text. Second, the manual does not apply to the Japanese version, is very superficial and does not do any justice to the many features of this product. There is no FM Radio included even though this feature is advertised in the Technical details section on Amazon. Overall, concerning the Japanese version, this is a very sloppy product with a lot of potential in the future.

This translator is high quality. It has directions of how to use it right in the translator. This is both convenient and inconvenient. Once you have left the directions to try something it seems there is no way to get back to the directions. It would be convenient to have a book of directions. It would then be possible to try things while also being able to refer to the directions. If a book of directions is available I'd very much like to have it. At present I seem to be lost and can not find a way to make any progress I do not want to rate the translator down just becasue I'm not proficient but I'm really not able to use the translator for much. I would appreciate it if I could get some help through Amazon.
