I initially had problems installing, but once I got past that, I was amazed... I actually got this to sing nursery rhymes with my preschoolers, as sort of a language arts and music lesson combined in one... VERY easy to use, you just drag and drop pieces of songs into your verses, chorus sections, and voila... you can have the music ready in literally minutes, then you can sing -- lead and back up vocals, even -- to your own cool-sounding song, hit the save button, and you can even email it to anyone who would actually listen to it, although I did not bother to try that out myself!! :0) didn't try out the sound effects, loops, etc., yet. VERY fun, fast, and easy. Amazingly awesome song at the end, too, without even trying!!! :0)

OMG!!!! I Love this Software! I wrote a song in an hour, it's easier to use than most music software. The music is kinda pre-done so you assemble sections. I hope they do a rap one soon.
 Good Dynamic Mic For Very Little Money May 21, 2012

I hit a local Guitar Center store looking for a good replacement mic for my computer since the one I've been using for 20 years is finally on it's last legs (and really wasn't all that good to begin with when it was new). They wanted at least $50 for an USB mic, and they didn't have anything even remotely close to the price range of this one. A couple of weeks later, I found these Instant PopStar and mic packages (new and unopened) at a Half-Price Books and figured that for $5.00, I may as well give this mic a try.
It's one of the better investments I've made lately for my computer. :)
In all honesty, I couldn't care less about the software that it came packaged with; I just needed the mic. I've got good recording software for creating my own works with my own instruments (because REAL musicians don't have to sample other artists' work to make their own songs).
You listening, hip-hoppers, rappers and club dj's?
Nope, didn't think so. :p
The mic's been a very good upgrade to my old one, and I really like that it's two piece (1/8" mono jack cable to plug into the back of my computer, or use a 1/4" adapter to plug it into my amp, and the mic itself which can be removed from the chord in case you want to use a different dynamic microphone with it, instead). The only thing I would've liked to have gotten with it instead of the cookie-cutter sample software would've been a mic stand. But that would've pushed the price up a lot more, and wouldn't have fit into the box.
And please, don't take my previous catty remarks too seriously. As long as folks are having fun with it, that's all that really matters, right? More power to you if you're enjoying the software package. I really just needed the microphone, and for the price, it was perfect for my needs. :)

I don't exaggerate when I say that there is almost nothing easier. The quality of the loops and hooks available in this software rival those from professional studios where you'd pay hundreds, even thousands of dollars. I was initially skeptical, I almost exclusively use Apple Loops and GarageBand. This software is even more simple than those. The best part is...you can check any "guess work" at the door. This software is so intuitive, it almost writes the songs itself. All you have to have is imagination and a lyric or two. Like millions of others, I have a good ear for music and some talent in writing a lyric (minimal)...but I can't play any instrument to the degree required to produce a worthy track. That is where this product comes into play. With a few clicks of the mouse, I was off writing my first #1 single! Okay, not really, but I did have a great time and rendered some musical tracks that sound strikingly similar to music I hear every day on pop radio. I have used a lot of software over the years to produce at-home recordings (including AcidPro, Band-in-the-Box, etc), but this has been, hands down, the easiest, most user-friendly, highest quality product I've ever tried. The only thing I want next is a version that is compatible with Mac.
