By Old enough to know better
I took four years of Latin when I was in high school. I've been out of high school for longer than I like to admit - 40+ years. I have always been fascinated with Latin. I decided that I'd like to go back to re-study this classic language. This software does allow you to learn how to speak Latin, which for me is totally useless. If you're learning Spanish or French or whatnot, speaking the language is very important. Even so, some people may want to learn to speak Latin and think this software would be good for that. After all, "quid quid latine dictum sit, altum videtur". However, I personally want to read Latin, not speak it. Fortunately the speaking part can be turned off. There is so very much available with this software. Anything you could possibly want in a Latin language course is right here - and more. I originally bought the Rosetta Stone course. Big mistake! I guess it would be OK if you are a preschooler. Rosetta Stone emphasizes talking and is about as in depth as a Dr. Seuss book. This software is light years ahead of Rosetta Stone. Fortunately I bought Rosetta Stone Latin from Amazon so I was able to return it with no questions asked.
